The pharmacy is very often slow due to more staff at the back away from the counter, with only one person serving even while it is busy. The thing that bugs me most is the fact that if for example is there is little communication from the staff to say they will be with you in a moment, completely ignoring everybody it seems, even while there is a long que. When I do get served its usually with an unfriendly, robotic 'can I help'? There is one lady however, who is friendly and personable, who remembers my prescription from previous visits and being a regular etc. Sadly she is the exception.Cheers

The pharmacy is appalling, most of the staff are slow, ignorant and indifferent. It's like watching broken robots trying to reboot. They seemed trapped behind the far counter tootling back and forth in pointless repetition seeming unable to engage with customers. There's one older large woman who seems to excel in this perverse behaviour and treats customers as a major inconvenience.Clearly Boots don't adopt the rings policy either. The phone rings for to minutes before being disconnected. It takes longer to just hand in a prescription here than it does to hand one in and receive the meds elsewhere. The local Boots stores like Coulby and Normandy are streets ahead of this store. This kind of disparity is usually the fault of local management and indifference from regional management.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The store is spacious and easy to get round. It has many choices of toiletries, clothes and food. Often has offers. Advice is freely given. I had a hearing test, which was offered free. And I also had points added to my advantage card. The staff who performed the test were extremely professional, everything was explained. I was made to feel comfortable and will have no problem returning for future tests and shopping

Worst experience ever. Today, my second visit to the store after January this year, the lady who scanned my items didnt scan one item properly and at the exit, it beeped. I went back, gave my bag to a Boots staff member to check and he tells me he cant find the receipt. IT WAS IN THE BAG but he said its not there. Took it to the counter, told another lady I cant find one thing here (implying one item is probably not scanned, hence nicked) and she pointed out the receipt is in the bag, then told him maybe one item wasnt scanned properly. She scanned it again, it went through and I could exit the store. All the while I had my app open to show the amount I had paid. When I said this is the second time it has happened, they ignored me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, not even an apology for accepting their mistake. Please tell me who's fault is that. I am spending almost £ on a single visit and this happens. Earlier in January, a security guard kept following me and my daughter throughout our shopping where I spent over £, thus making her experience a traumatic one. I sent an email to customer service about the experience as well. The incident included us witnessing someone stealing and security was no where to be found. Harrassing homest shoppers like this, you lost one. Either keep an eye on people who are committing the theft or keep an eye by not making an honest customer uncomfortable.Unfortunately for me today, I needed a few things and had to visit. This happening twice is sure fire indication to stay away.Sorry to say Boots, I am extremely disappointed.
